Jens Eckhoff, an entrepreneur from Bremen, has decades of experience in banking, real estate, management and politics. Before founding his own advisory firm, ihochfünf, he was chairman of the CDU Group in the Parliament of Bremen for several years and then Senator for Construction, Environment and Transport in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. He is currently the deputy regional chairman of the CDU in Bremen and a member of the Bremen Parliament. Eckhoff has been working in the offshore wind energy sector in Germany for 15 years and has been the President of the German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation since 2005.

Prof. Dr. Klaus Rave is a fully qualified lawyer with a degree from Kiel and Dublin and a doctorate from the Institute for International Law at the University of Kiel. He was head of the department of energy industry in the government of Schleswig-Holstein between 1988 and 1995. He has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Energiesysteme Nord GmbH since 1988;, he has been a member of the Executive Committee of the European Wind Energy Association since 1995 and was its president between 1999 and 2002. Rave was a board member at the Investitionsbank Schleswig-Holstein from 1995 to 2011 and chairman of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) from 2010 to 2016. He was chairman of the Council of Higher Education at the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences from 2008 to September 2013 and chairman of the Supervisory Board at WKN Windkraft Nord AG from 2010 to 2013. Since 2013, he has served as an honorary professor at the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, where his focus is on global markets and framework conditions, international institutions and associations, energy industry, regulation and energy policy. He is also the chairman of the WindEnergieZirkel Hanse e.V.. On June 6, 2016, the Board of Trustees of the German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation elected Rave as Vice-President.
