Dr. Ursula Prall is the new Chair of the Executive Board of the German Offshore Wind Energy Foundation
On June 20th, the Board of Trustees elected Dr. Ursula Prall as the new Chair of the Executive Board of the Foundation at the 24th Board of Trustees meeting in Hannover.
The promoted lawyer began her honorary function on July 1st. The remaining members of the Executive Board were confirmed in their current functions at the meeting. These are Dr. Knud Rehfeldt, Jörgen Thiele, Dr. Jörg Buddenberg, Norbert Giese, Prof. Dr. Martin Skiba.
The Chair of the Board of Trustees, the Executive Board and the Management of the Foundation congratulated Dr. Ursula Prall, and they look forward to the successful cooperation with her.
Prall is a lawyer and partner at the law firm Becker Büttner Held. Since 2004 she has been engaged in the development of offshore wind energy in Germany and for many years was the Managing Director of the Offshore-Forum-Windenergie (OFW), where she has been Chair since 2014.
After 12 years, the long-time Chairman of the Executive Board, Jörg Kuhbier, no longer ran for re-election. Kuhbier has decisively shaped the work of the Foundation from the outset, and has set a great deal of emphasis on building the framework conditions for offshore wind energy in Germany. Kuhbier was unanimously elected as Honorary Chairman by the Board of Trustees and as such will be able to continue to contribute his many years of experience into the Foundations’ work.
